EVENTS AND NEWS

THANKS TO ALL WHO GENEROUSLY DONATED

TO THE FM COMMUNITY RADIO PROJECT
- -
A recent Jam for Freedom fundraiser near Wanaka , thanks to generous donations at the event as well as before and after, raised over a thousand dollars to fund a new community FM radio station in Wanaka. The event was held at a private farm near Wanaka on the 16th of May The funds will go to pay for two or three FM transmitters to be placed in Hawea, Wanaka and Queensbury. The initiative will follow standard NZ community broadcast laws and protocol, and will broadcast interviews and replays not heard on the mainstream news feeds, This will effectively bypass the chockhold MSM has, at least on local FM bands. We ran a test project some years ago which worked well, so we're rolling out new equipment and programming schedule. Our target market is the gerneral public driving home from work. If you'd like to learn more on how to start a community radio station in your own community, get in touch.

Our Story
We're on Fire to
Share the Message of Freedom Through Music

Not too long ago we were in lockdowns, mandates and a divided nation. Some say Kiwi's are feeling the aftereffects of trauma from that difficult time. And let's face it, - It's not really a cakewalk at the moment - people are stressed.  Music can help heal that divide and reach people in unique ways. Of course, if you're reading this, and you're a free thinking muso, we're preaching to the choir.

New Zealand became one of the newest chapters of Jam For Freedom early in 2024..
We have big plans and need your help. Not only do we need muso's but we want to organise some cool events on the north and south islands.

Also a road tour is in the works, a traveling Jam For Freedom roadshow, based on Coffeehouses I used to run in the states - a volunteer concert series where the audience is trained to listen to the performer. For starters we'll be on the road on the South Island, then head north at some point. .
We've not had our inaugural event/s (North and South Islands) yet so anyone want to get involved?  Let's roll up sleeves, get planning and get ready to play.  If you want to take an active role in helping launch Jam For Freedom New Zealand and even taking the reins as part of a steering group, get in touch! I'd love to be a part of a collaborative team!

Do you want to play songs that make a difference, that support truth and an undefeatable spirit? . Do you feel like creating music, connecting with other like-hearted muso's for change,  The Telegram chat is a place to get the ball rolling, .If you'd like join the convo, please get in touch.
Cheers
Randall Richards
